I grew up in a small town called Colonial Beach, right along the Potomac River — a place rich with pirates, fishermen, and the echoes of the colonial era. When I was five, I used to sit on that shore and stare out at a patch of land across the water that would fade in and out of the haze. I called it Mystery Island.
Even then, I wanted to know what stories it held — who walked there, what lives unfolded there, what secrets time had buried beneath the sand. That childhood curiosity became something deeper: a lifelong passion to uncover the hidden histories all around us.
As I grew older, I realized that life itself is a kind of treasure hunt. Every family story, every forgotten landmark, every trail in the woods — they’re all clues left behind by those who came before us. Somewhere along those paths are the traces of kings, farmers, and dreamers — each step another thread in the great story of who we are.
But in today’s world, history too often fades from view. We repeat the same mistakes because we’ve forgotten the lessons behind them. Lore Trail exists to change that. It’s about reconnecting people with their past — through story, through place, and through discovery.
From the app that lets you uncover history wherever you stand, to the videos and podcasts that bring the past vividly to life — Lore Trail is about more than information. It’s about connection. It’s about walking the same ground our ancestors did and realizing:
We built this world together. Our bloodlines built our story.
Join me — and all who walk the Lore Trail — in rediscovering the forgotten, preserving the meaningful, and keeping our shared history alive. Because every story deserves to be found.
